Online Ghanaian Language Courses

Online 20 week (Beginner – Intermediate) Adult Courses in Twi, Ga, Fante and Ewe
Weeks 1 – 10
In the first 10 weeks you will be introduced to the language you have chosen to study. This part of the course will give you a strong foundation, starting from the alphabet, grammar and building vocabulary, to having everyday life conversations.
Weeks 11 – 20
The second part of the course builds on the knowledge gained in Level 1, and expands on it to include more detailed conversations through the use of various sources, including role-plays, reading and audio.
Joining in week 11
The possibility of joining in week 11 will only be considered if you have previously completed weeks 1- 10, or if you have been assessed by a qualified tutor at The Ghanaian Language School.
Weeks 20+ continue to build on previous levels. The aim for adults here, is to become more confident having conversations in the language through the use of role-plays + creative/ tailored, interactive exercises.

“The material provided by GLS and the level of teaching given by the tutors puts learning Ghanaian languages on par with learning other languages such as French, Mandarin, German and Spanish”.
Ama, GLS Twi, Fante & Ewe Student
“Deciding to learn my mother tongue Twi with the help of the staff at GLS was the best decision I ever made.
They created a support system where I felt at ease to call my tutors if I required additional help.
I would encourage anyone who has a desire to learn more about the languages or cultural aspects surrounding Ghana to enrol on a GLS course today without delay”.
Caroline, GLS Twi Student
