Meet our Patron

A message from Paapa Essiedu
“What GLS does is very important and I am so proud to be able to support it in every way that I can”.
“It is a huge honour for me to be the first patron at The Ghanaian Language School.
Being Ghanaian is such an important part of my identity, character, history and tradition, and I look forward to learning more and further deepening my connection to the country that gave me everything.
I also want to say a huge thank you to the GLS Family – all of the students, staff and supporters that make GLS what it is.
It is essential that our mission is accomplished, and that we continue to provide access to mother tongue languages for people who are members of the diaspora – maybe not taught by their parents, and want to be able to continue their tradition and history onwards. Also for those who are new to Ghana and its languages, so that they too have a portal into this world”.
